Reformed Theological Seminary, New York City is a strategic partnership between Redeemer City to City (CTC) and Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) to provide theological education and practical ministry training in New York City. The partnership is called the Redeemer City Ministry (RCM) program. The goal of the RCM program is to prepare "future pastors and ministry leaders in the city for the city." The RCM program involves RTS providing a Master of Arts (Biblical Studies), delivered up to 49% residentially in NYC, complemented by a subsequent year of practical training called the City Ministry Year (CMY) provided by CTC.
The goal of the program is to prepare leaders called to serve the church and other ministries in NYC or other major cities of the world. These leaders include aspiring church planters, pastors, ministry leaders, and marketplace leaders. We believe if someone is preparing to minister in an urban environment, it is best that they get a foundational theological education within that environment, so one can process what is learned in the midst of the life and ministry in the city.
We seek those led to financially support NYC students to partner with CTC and RTS by giving tax deductible gifts for scholarships assistance.
An updated FAQ sheet is also available which answers questions about the program.
