Pauline Epistles - 3.00 Hours

An exposition of the the epistles in chronological order that emphasizes the application of Paul's theology to the pastoral needs of the churches of his day and ours. THIS CLASS MEETS ON FRIDAY EVENINGS (6:30 to 9:30 pm) and on SATURDAYS (8 am - 3 pm): Sept. 8-9, Oct. 6-7, Oct. 27-28, Nov. 17-18.

The historical development and biblical principles of management theory and leadership style are examined. Attention is given to strategic planning, setting goals, budgeting, directing programs, and evaluating results. This course will meet every Tuesday from 6:30pm-9:30pm between September 12-November 14 with the exception of October 31.

Gospels - 3.00 Hours

The overarching aim is to provide tools to the student in order that one might better interpret / apply the Gospels to one's self, their church and their world.* Learn narrative content of Gospels.* Learn major biblical theological categories in the Gospels along with methodology to do further biblical theological interpretation.* Learn best of Reformed / evangelical scholarship concerning interpretation / application of Gospels (e.g., parable theory).* Learn enough about critical views to: 1) Utilize common grace insights in critical commentaries. 2) Provide an intelligent global critique of critical theories. THIS CLASS HAS ONLINE CLASS MEETINGS FROM 7pm-9pm on THURSDAY, February 1, 8 and TUESDAY February 13. THIS CLASS WILL ALSO MEET ON CAMPUS ON FRIDAY EVENINGS (6:30 to 9:30 pm) and on SATURDAYS (8 am - 4 pm): February 16-17, March 9-10, April 13-14.

Genesis to Joshua - 3.00 Hours

This course takes an expository approach to the major developments in the history of redemption: creation, covenant, promise, and fulfillment of the promises. This portion of the biblical revelation covers the period from Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to Israel in the Promised Land. THIS CLASS MEETS ON FRIDAY EVENINGS (6:30 to 9:30 pm) and on SATURDAYS (8 am - 3 pm):Feb 2-3, Feb 23-24, March 30-31, April 20-21.

Communication I - 2.00 Hours

This course addresses total communication for pastors with an emphasis on preaching philosophy and style, textual exposition, and sermon structure. Written and oral, verbal and non-verbal communications are included. Aspects of oral communication include preaching, extemporaneous speaking, story telling, vocabulary development, elocution, and elements of drama. This course will meet Monday evening from 6:30pm-9:30pm on the following dates:Feb. 5, 12, 19, March 12, 19, April 16, 23, 30 and May 7.
